Change Window

CHANGE WINDOW DEFINED:

A change window is a window of time that can be used for the implementation of RFC’s if the appropriate approval has been granted and the proper notification and communication of any down time required has occurred.

CHANGE WINDOW GUIDANCE:
  • Normal Changes are allowed only during predefined change windows
  • Standard Changes are pre-approved so they may be made outside of change windows
  • If approved by the Emergency Change Advisory Board emergency changes are also allowed to be made outside of change windows
  • The Service Desk will be sent Change Schedule (CS) and Projected Service Outage (PSO) documentation.  This will be used in communications regarding availability of SPPS systems
