Creating Links Pages on Your School Website This method takes advantage of the Urban Planet website tool to create a page of internet links. Using Urban Planet allows teachers to set this up from any computer with internet access, even from home. Once the page is created and “published,” students can access the list from any computer.
Before you start it is helpful to have: Your Urban Planet username and password. A list of research topics.
Log into your schools’ Urban Planet site. To do this, go to your school website and type /admin after the address. (Example: www.jackson.spps.org/admin). You’ll be asked to enter your username and password.
Once you’ve logged in, find the section of the website where you want to add your page of links. You’ll see the sections that you have access to listed on the left hand side of the page. If you see a plus sign (+), click on it to expose subsections “underneath” that section.
Click on Add a New Subsection and enter a section name (ex. Research Links), click Create. Click on Edit to type your research topic list. With your cursor in the “body” section off the page, type your list of topics. Add a 1, 2, 3… etc. for each link you are going to provide for your students. Three links is usually enough for any research project. When you’ve finished, click on the green Save button.
Now you need to find the links you want your students to visit for their research. Here’s what I do: Still in Firefox, for to File>New Window. Now you’ll have two windows, one to make your website with, the other to find the students’ web pages.

Here's a fancy way that takes advantage of a table to organize the links.
