| Educational Technology Department Initiatives |  | The focus of the Department of Educational Technology is to support district initiatives put in place to ensure that all children are successful. Priorities for the 2002-03 school year for the department include on-going support for the implementation and enhancement of the Campus Student Information System. Additionally, the department is implementing a data-warehousing tool, SwiftKnowldge. This tool will allow teachers and administrators to look at data from different perspectives and to make decisions that are data-driven.
The Department will continue to work with programs, such as Excel, and teams of teachers from different schools as they develop new and more effective strategies for teaching with technology. The Department is also collaborating with Urban Planet to develop an easy to use web template that will be an effective tool for schools to use in communicating and marketing programs to students and families.
