ViewPoint Overview Workshop
ViewPoint Basics:

Using your Campus username and password, log in to ViewPoint at http://viewpoint.spps.org Define the data that you are looking for by simply clicking on the choices on the left sidebar after logging in.

Creating Custom Groups:

To create custom groups of students, check the box(es) preceding the names of desired students from any data presented in form view. Then, click the save button in the upper-right corner. After naming your group, it will appear from then on in the drop-down list of groups that you've created.

Common Questions:
  • How often is ViewPoint data updated? Every night.
  • Why am I unable to see all of my students? You may not be able to see all of your students because of scheduling complexities. If you need access to the entire student body, complete the following form (remember to click 'Finish' when done). I will forward your change request on to the person who can make access changes. In most cases you will need to be changed from "self-contained, teacher" access to "school-wide" access.
ViewPoint Access Change Request Form
  • May I access ViewPoint from home? Yes, however, you will need iChain Campus access privileges.Go to this web site:

  • Enter first name (space) last name
  • Enter Lotus Notes Webmail password or if that doesn’t' work, try the default email password.
  • Complete the info, marking the Classbook option.
  • Click submit.
You should get an email in a couple days with instructions on using Campus and iChain from home.  It will be a special version of your name and a new separate password.  Save that email or print it out to keep at home.
