Alternate Showcase Requirement

Welcome to the Alternate Showcase Requirement. The Showcase is a two-hour required workshop. As an alternative to attendance at the Showcase (for people with extraordinary conflicts on the Showcase date) this Alternate Showcase online tool has been created. To meet the requirements of the Alternate Showcase you will be viewing a 40 minute movie of example technology-infused lessons followed by responding to the movie using the form below. Please, watch the whole movie.

Note: The movie has many examples taken from elementary settings. However, technology-infused lessons at all grade levels use much of the same technology tools with deeper content. Return to this page after viewing the video. If you are attempting to complete this class from home, a dial-up connection will not work. Slower DSL connections may also have issues of stalling video.

Step One: Open the Alternate Showcase Movie (link below) in a new window by following these directions. When finished watching the movie closed the window to return to this page.

Mac: Hold Control (ctrl) and click on the link below, then select "open in new window."
PC:  Right-click on the link below, then select "open in new window."

Step Two:
  1. By clicking on the following link browse through the No Strings Attached: Wireless Laptops in Education directory.
  2. Select three integration ideas to review. Lesson summaries add implementation details. And, you are able to watch the individual movies over again to review.
  3. Use the form at the bottom of this page to write three reviews.
  4. After you complete all of the fields submit your form. Only thorough submissions will be given credit for completion. Someone from the Integration Office will contact you to confirm your status in having completed the workshop.
