Technical Services

This unit provides leadership for the district's Wide Area Network (WAN), provides technical support services to schools and programs, and assists buildings in supporting their Local Area Networks.

Technical assistance is provided on administrative systems, including Campus Student Information Systems, SwiftKnowledge Data-Warehouse, PeopleSoft, Oracle Financial Management System, Destiny Library System, and Lotus Notes.  The technical services staff also facilitates server set-up and maintenance, software installation, upgrades, desktop set-up, application and data back-up, and disaster recovery.

A district Help Desk provides phone support, monitors the network, and dispatches technical staff to buildings as needed.  A monthly training and support session is coordinated by the technical staff to assist building technical support staff in managing their buildings.
